Crocks are first rate for showing off holiday plants. A Christmas Cactus in a 4-inch pot is the right size to transfer to a one or two pint crock. A Norfolk Island Pine in a six-inch pot works for the two larger sizes. Set the plant on some packing peanuts in the bottom of the crock, then fill in with soil as needed. For best results, water sparingly. Too much water will harm the roots.
